My approach to assisting clients reach settlement of
their family law issues is a combination of
educating them about their legal rights
and focusing them on their "interests" instead of
their "positions"in a negotiation. The processes
that I offer are non-adversarial. In my
opinion, it is well-worth it (both emotionally
and financially) to work within a non-adversarial process
to resolve legal separation issues or any family law
issue.
I offer the following services:
Mediation
I act as a neutral facilitator who helps you and your spouse reach legal agreement.
Collaborative Practice
I represent one of you, and the other spouse retains his/her own lawyer, on the mutual understanding that neither party will institute court proceedings. You and your spouse reach legal agreement outside the court process.
Negotiation
I represent one of you, and the other spouse may retain his/her own lawyer, on the understanding with my client that we will not institute court proceedings. You and your spouse reach legal agreement outside the court process.
